In addition to holding a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture (BSA) and a Diploma in Urban Land Economics (DULE), Mark Dean has been designated as an Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute and Professional Appraiser (AACI, P.App.) by the Appraisal Institute of Canada.
Since becoming an independent Real Estate Appraiser and Consultant, Mark Dean has developed many real estate appraisal and consulting reports on a wide range of property types, including general commercial, multi-family, industrial and special purpose properties, agricultural land and buildings as well as residential acreage, urban and resort properties.
He is fully knowledgeable in the Canadian System of Soil Classification, competent and experienced in soil classification and valuation of farmland in Saskatchewan and has completed soil mapping, assessment and single property appraisal of thousands of quarters of farmland in Saskatchewan.
In addition, he has successfully represented commercial property owners and ownership groups in property tax assessment negotiation and appeal hearings at both local Boards of Revision as well as Municipal Board, Assessment Appeals Committee.
Prior to his career in independent real estate valuation and consulting, Mark Dean worked over 17 years in agricultural, commercial and residential property tax assessment. This work included (but was not limited to) soil mapping and farmland valuation, commercial and residential property inspection and valuation, and development of mass appraisal models.
Mark was raised on a grain farm in Saskatchewan, and actively farmed prior to the formation of Precision Appraisal Services Inc. in 2005.
