Daniel Doucet AACI, P. App (Fellow) Joins the VerraGroup Team

VerraGroup is proud to announce the addition of Daniel Doucet to our team. Daniel is a dynamic, deep thinking professional, who recently took the helm of the Appraisal Institute of Canada as it’s 2015-2016 National President. Daniel has a long career as a generalist appraiser, however in recent years has followed his interests into litigation and expropriation assignments, as well as First Nations Specific Land Claims, having been involved in numerous high-profile assignments in Ontario, BC and Quebec.
Daniel’s brings a depth and breadth of experience to VerraGroup, with a career began in Eastern Canada in 1982 covering assignments in all four Maritime Provinces. After 13 years with Altus Group Moncton he relocated to the Toronto area in late 2016.

Daniel has spoken at several industry conferences on valuation topics such as the Subdivision Development Approach and First Nations Specific Land Claim valuation assignments. Daniel also co-authored a four phase Study (2011 to 2018) on Impact of High Voltage Transmission Lines on Rural Property Values in Ontario and has presented the results of the study at eight conference in Canada, the United States and in Paris, France.
Daniel is fully bilingual and resides in Grand Valley, Ontario where he works as an independent valuation consultant with his life partner, Alinda Dekker, CRA, P.App, owner of Dekker Appraisal Services.
Daniel is a member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, the International Right of Way Association and the Ontario Expropriation Association.
